Asturian poet Alfonso Camín dedicated his best-known poem Macorina to María Constancia Caraza Valdés aka "La Macorina" (1892—1977), who was Havana's most famous prostitute as well as the first woman driver in Cuba. Camín's poem was made into a song by Chavela Vargas. This week's version, performed by Marisa Valle Roso, appears on her 2017 album Consciente.
