No, it was not Penélope Cruz singing Volver in the latest Almodóvar movie. (Which I enjoyed very much.) It is actually sung by Estrella Morente (also the star of La canción de la semana #7) and appears on her latest CD Mujeres. Watch the video of live performance.

well I suppose it would be a bit strange if Penélope started to sing like a real flamenco singer... also nobody would understand a word :)
That's a good one! I honestly didn't like it that much, i mean, the voice, the style, etc... I suppose it means i don't like Estrella Morente, then. Oh, well... When we watch the film again i will pay more attention.
